Broadway Community Joins Together to Honor Lost Performer Parker Leikam

Sometimes ever the brightest stars don't get their chance to shine. On March 23rd, the world of theatre lost yet another uprising star. Parker Leikam, an 18 year old senior at South Jefferson High School in Adams, New York, was killed in a head on car collision only two blocks from his home. Police reported that the other driver tried to pass a vehicle in front of him, entering a no passing zone, and crashing into Leikam's minivan.

Syfy's highly anticipated space thriller The Expanse will launch with a two-night premiere Monday, December 14 and Tuesday, December 15 at 10PM (ET/PT). The epic drama from Alcon TV is based on the international best-selling book series of the same name and will regularly air on Tuesdays at 10PM for the remainder of its 10-episode first season.

Without a resident theatre or base, Vienna Festival Ballet have achieved remarkable things over the last 35 years since its conception by Austria's most successful ballet dancer, Peter Mallek. They are very much a touring company living and working out of a suitcase but in doing so, have created a solid reputation in many countries. This production is a showcase of several of their favourite Tchaikovsky ballets within their repertoire to celebrate achievements made working independently for so many years.

Syfy continues to ramp up its slate of ambitious and high quality scripted series with a straight-to-series greenlight for space-opera project The Expanse, it was announced today by Syfy President, Dave Howe. The 10-episode order is Syfy's boldest new series commitment to date. The Expanse is produced by Alcon Television Group (ATG), a division of Alcon Entertainment, and marks the company's first series order.
