On June 7 & 8, Mundy, one of Ireland's most exciting live performers, returns to Irish Arts Center to share two evenings of his upbeat and celebratory folk/pop/rock style. While Irish Arts Center has a history of showcasing cutting edge musicians that redefine what it is to be an Irish artist - including esteemed Irish rockers Joe and Steve Wall of The Stunning, Irish / Sierra Leonean singer-songwriter Loah and theatrical songstress Camille O'Sullivan - Mundy's poetic lyrics, honest folk sensibility, and skilled guitar work truly set him apart.

Thirteen new independent feature projects from Cuba, Chile, Kenya, the UK and the U.S. have been selected for the 2017 Sundance Institute Directors and Screenwriters Labs in Utah's Wasatch Mountains. These Labs are the centerpiece of the nonprofit Institute's year-round support for independent artists.

Acclaimed American tenor and opera singer David Miller is perhaps best known as a member of the multiplatinum classical crossover group Il Divo. Now, Miller is bringing his opera prowess to the cinema, with his directorial debut of the opera "A Hand of Bridge." The short film will premiere at the prestigious Seattle International Film Festival, which runs from May 18- June 11, 2017.

An invitation-only reading of the new musical Temple will take place on Friday, April 28th at 3pm at Signature Theatre (rehearsal studio - 480 West 42nd Street, New York, NY 10036).  Temple features a book and lyrics by Silvia Peto, music by Norman Durkee, additional music by Constantine Kitsopoulos, and will be directed by Gabriel Barre.

French playwright Jean Anouilh wrote his 'Antigone' during the Nazi occupation of France. It became a symbol of resistance as freedom fighters viewed the heroine's defiance as a crie de coeur of patriotism. The play, written with a modern sensibility, is based on the Greek tragedy of the princess who dies for burying her brother's corpse against the orders of her dictator uncle. Its parallels to modern times are exciting and provocative.
