Manhattan Theatre Works (MTWorks), in association with the Theater Series at the 14th Street Y, will present the World Premiere of Sweet, Sweet Spirit by Carol Carpenter (Outstanding Playwriting for Good Lonely People - Planet Connections Awards), directed by Joan Kane (2011 People of the Year in Indie Theatre - Martin Denton, nytheatre.com). Sweet, Sweet Spirit will play a three week limited engagement at The Theater at the 14th Street Y (344 East 14th Street at 1st Avenue). Martin Moran's OBIE award-winning play, THE TRICKY PART, will play for one night only, October 19, 2014 at 7:00 PM at TBG Theatre, 312 West 36th Street, 3Rd Floor, NY NY.

WAM Theatre's Artistic Director Kristen van Ginhoven is pleased to announce the cast and creative team for the New England premiere of In Darfur, by Winter Miller. A timely, compelling drama, In Darfur will run from October 30 - November 16 at Shakespeare & Company in the Berry Family Studio of the Elayne P. Bernstein Center.

Featuring four of Broadway's brightest stars, 'Seasons of Broadway' is an evening of songs and stories celebrating some of the greatest shows to ever hit the streets of New York City. The show will play a three-city engagement, beginning at the Scottsdale Center for Performing Arts (Scottsdale, AZ) on November 7th, followed by Carmel by the Sea (Carmel, CA) on November 8th, and Lone Tree Arts Center (Lone Tree, CO) on November 9th.

ARIELLE JACOBS who appeared on Broadway and in the touring company of IN THE HEIGHTS and STACIA FERNANDEZ, currently appearing on Broadway in MAMMA MIA!, have joined the cast of BARCELONA in the roles of 'Julianna' and 'Kathryn'.

LSNelson Productions presents the world premiere of the new play VIETNAM…THROUGH MY LENS written and performed by Stu Richel ("Everyone's War"), directed by Linda S. Blowout Theatre presents the World Premiere of Jona Tarlin's In Antarctica, Where it is Very Warm, today, September 19th - October 11th at IRT Theater (154 Christopher St. NYC #3B). Kyle Metzger (Artistic Director: The Glass Eye) directs this production. In Antarctica, Where It Is Very Warm takes place in Palmer Station, Antarctica.

In the 1970s, the sexual revolution had finally given women the freedom to fully explore their natures. How women of various ages reconciled this freedom with their personal ethics is the subject of Dana Leslie Goldstein's newest play, 'Daughters of the Sexual Revolution,' which will be presented today, September 18 to October 11 by the WorkShop Theater Company, 312 West 36th Street. Urban Momfare has been selected to extend its run at the FringeNYC Encore Series after a critically acclaimed run at the 2014 New York International Fringe Festival in August. Book by Pamela Weiler Grayson and Alice Jankell, music and lyrics by Pamela Weiler Grayson, directed by Alice Jankell and musical direction by Clare Cooper. Urban Momfare is being produced by Emerging Artists Theatre Company (EAT). A workshop performance of the musical was previously presented at EAT's New Work Series in March of 2013.

CAP 21 will present a staged reading of BARCELONA, a new original musical featuring book and lyrics by Christine Toy Johnson and music and lyrics by Jason Ma, directed by Alan Muraoka. The industry presentation will be performed Oct. 2nd in the CAP 21 Theatre in New York City.
