The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis; Executive Director Mara Manus) and Theory Icon Project will present 'Hair in the Plaza' on Wednesday, July 9 at 7:30 p.m.

The meatpacking district is hotter than ever thanks to SEX IN THE CITY, filled with the hottest clubs and restaurants and it gets even hipper on July 9th, when clothing store Theory will present a 45-minute preview performance of the Public Theater's upcoming revival of Hair (the show opens July 22nd).

The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis; Executive Director Mara Manus) announced today that it would extend HAIR: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical an additional two weeks at The Delacorte Theater in Central Park this summer.

The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis; Executive Director Mara Manus) announced additional casting today for the 2008 Shakespeare in the Park summer season. Andre Braugher and Lily Rabe will join the company as Claudius and Ophelia, respectively, in Oskar Eustis' production of HAMLET. They join the previously announced Michael Stuhlbarg as Hamlet and Richard Easton as Polonius. HAMLET will begin previews on Tuesday, May 27 and run through Sunday, June 29.

The Public Theater announced complete casting for the 40th anniversary concert celebration of HAIR: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical at The Delacorte Theater in Central Park. Directed by Diane Paulus with book and lyrics by James Rado and Gerome Ragni and music by Galt MacDermot, HAIR will play for three-nights-only, September 22, 23 & 24 at 7PM as part of Joe's Pub in the Park.

Musical theater students and alumni from NYU's Cap 21 will join James Lecesne, Randy Redd, Alex De Castro (from Broadway's The Lion King) and special guests composer Stephen Flaherty, singer-songwriter Duncan Sheik and cast members from the new Broadway musical Spring Awakening, to present 'Coming Together,' an evening of song to benefit After the Storm at the Renee Weiler Concert Hall at Greenwich House Music School on Monday, December 11th at 8PM

Young theater stars will come together for Shifting Ground Production's second season opening performance, which will take place at Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital on August 30th at 1 PM in their Winter Garden theatre
