Chloe Sevigny to Lead Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa‘s ABIGAIL/1702 at New York Stage and Film

New York Stage and Film (Johanna Pfaelzer, Artistic Director; Thomas Pearson, Executive Director, Mark Linn-Baker, Max Mayer, Leslie Urdang, Producing Directors) and Vassar College's (Ed Cheetham, Producing Director) Powerhouse Theater have revealed the first casting for their 2012 Powerhouse Season. Chloe Sevigny ("Big Love", Boys Don't Cry, American Psycho) is set to star in Abigail/1702, written by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa with direction by David Esbjornson. Abigail/1702 runs from Wednesday, June 27th to Sunday, July 8th.

Quincy Dunn Baker joins the cast of Kenny Finkle's ALIVE AND WELL at Canal Park Playhouse's monthly BACK ROOM READING SERIES. Directed by Samuel Buggeln, the reading of ALIVE AND WELL takes place on Wednesday, May 16 at 7 PM at Canal Park Playhouse (508 Canal Street, between Greenwich and West Streets in Tribeca). Due to critical praise and popular demand, Vineyard Theatre has announced a final extension - now through April 28 - for the new musical NOW. HERE. THIS., which opened to rave reviews and sold out houses at The Vineyard on March 28. This will be the second and final extension for the show, which must close on April 28 due to season and artist schedules.

PICT launches its 2012 season with the Pittsburgh premiere of Sarah Ruhl's Pulitzer finalist In the Next Room or the vibrator play. The production features Brad Heberlee as Dr. Givings, Megan McDermott as Catherine Givings, Jessica Frances Dukes as Elizabeth, and Melinda Helfrich as Sabrina Daldry. Alan Stanford directs.
