Mother Road Theatre Company presents the modern masterpiece AMERICAN BUFFALO. During one long day in a run-down junk shop, three men of great ambition and low morals plan a heist of a customer's valuable coin collection. When the con goes awry, it's every man for himself. This fast paced drama is all aggression and testosterone, with characters wielding words like weapons to intimidate, cajole and manipulate each other. The results are hilarious, powerful and ultimately tragic in a play that won the 1976 Obie Award for Best New Play, the New York Drama Critics Circle Award for Best Play and was nominated for two Tony Awards.

Winner of the 2013 Northern Virginia Theater Alliance Award for Best Production, Samuel A. Simon's THE ACTUAL DANCE, with original music by Eli Zoller, and directed by Kate Holland will play a limited engagement at the Studio Theatre (Theatre Row, 410 West 42nd Street). Performances are Saturday, January 10th at 2:00 pm through Sunday, February 1st at 3:00 pm.

American Theater Company (ATC) announced today casting and a new performance schedule for its premiere of a revised version of The Royale by Orange is the New Black and Sons of Anarchy writer Marco Ramirez.

BroadwayWorld.com is saddened to report the death of Broadway veteran Greg Reuter, who had recently joined the faculty of Michigan State University as a Assistant Professor of Musical Theatre and Choreography. La Jolla Playhouse announces the appointment of Jaime Castañeda to the new position of Associate Artistic Director. In addition to joining the Playhouse's artistic team, Castañeda will direct several projects, including the final subscription show for the 2015/16 season, to be announced shortly.

The producers of Peter Morgan's The Audience, starring Academy Award winner Helen Mirren, announced today that Dylan Baker and Tony Award winner Judith Ivey, will join the Broadway company in the roles of John Major and Margaret Thatcher.

Commonwealth Shakespeare Company (CSC) will present its first indoor production as Theatre Company in Residence at Babson College, Samuel Beckett's classic Happy Days featuring Brooke Adams* (Lend Me A Tenor, CSC's The Last Will) and Tony Shalhoub* (Act One, Monk) tonight, November 18 - 23 at the Carling-Sorenson Theater at Babson College.

The 26th Annual Festival of New Musicals, presented by the National Alliance For Musical Theatre (NAMT), kicked off with THE 46TH MINUTE, a concert hosted by Lindsay Mendez and featuring performances by Heidi Blickenstaff, Doreen Montalvo, Mamie Parris, Bryce Ryness, and more. Theatre Communications Group (TCG) has announced the publication of Jez Butterworth's The River, which officially opens on Broadway this November starring Hugh Jackman. The play originally premiered at the Royal Court Theatre in London, October 2012.
