From 9 July - 9 August 2013, the Almeida Festival returns with a packed programme of fresh collaborations, award-winning artists and brand new shows. The most ambitious and extensive Almeida Festival to date, the line-up features ground-breaking artists presenting shows at different stages of progression, commissioned, co-commissioned, developed and supported by the Almeida.

Richard Eyre returns to the Almeida Theatre to adapt and direct Ibsen's Ghosts. Ghosts will run from 26 September - 23 November 2013, with Press Night on 3 October. Members of the production team and cast will be announced shortly. Priority booking for Ghosts for Almeida Theatre members opens on 9 April 2013, with public booking opening on 23 April.

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater announces that Wyatt Fenner (The Whale, Misalliance, Next Fall) will take over the lead role of Eli in Slipping starting Sunday, April 21, 2013. Fenner will replace Seth Numrich (Broadway's War Horse, Golden Boy), who will travel to London to star with Kim Cattrall in the upcoming production of Tennessee Williams' Sweet Bird of Youth at the Old Vic. Fenner has received rave reviews for his performances, including his most recent role as 19-year-old Mormon missionary Elder Thomas in The Whale, at South Coast Rep. The GRAMMY Foundation Grant Program announced today that more than $200,000 in grants will be awarded to 14 recipients in the United States to help facilitate a range of research, archiving and preservation projects on a variety of subjects. Research projects include a study that will investigate a potential core deficit in rhythm processing in developmental stuttering, combining behavioral and neuroimaging studies in children with studies in songbirds. Preservation and archiving initiatives include a project that will preserve and provide access to a unique organ recording collection of master organ player rolls and noteworthy arrangements produced in the 1920s; and an effort to preserve and digitize the audiovisual collections of imperiled media of the Andrews Sisters, Bing Crosby, Benny Goodman, and Bob Hope, among others. A complete list of grant awards and projects is below. The deadline each year for submitting letters of inquiry is Oct. 1. Guidelines and the letter of inquiry form for the 2014 cycle will be available beginning May 1 at www.grammyfoundation.org/grants.

The Antaeus Company, L.A.'s multiple award-winning classical theater company, presents an untraditional staging of Arthur Miller's The Crucible. Armin Shimerman and Geoffrey Wade co-direct the fully double cast production May 16 through July 7, with low-priced previews beginning May 9.

The Contemporary American Theater Festival (CATF) at Shepherd University has announced the five-play repertory for its 23rd season of producing and developing new American theater.
