Due to popular demand, Abrons Arts Center extends the world premiere of Erin Markey's A Ride On The Irish Cream, a sharp and playful,performance art musical about the role childhood plays in our adult intimacies. Directed by Jordan Fein, A Ride On The Irish Cream stars real-life couple Becca Blackwell (Doris Duke Impact Award Recipient) and Markey, a "magnetic diva," (The New York Times). It features a live, four-piece band playing original music composed by Kenny Mellman, Emily Bate and Markey.

THE MEETING* hosted by Justin Sayre, the acclaimed comedy/variety show, will return to Joe's Pub at The Public to launch the Winter/Spring 2016 season on Sunday, January 24 at 9:30 PM. This season will include tributes to Eartha Kitt (January 24 at 9:30 PM), the musical Cabaret (February 21 at 9:30 PM), Elton John (March 20 at 9:30 PM), Barbra Streisand (April 17 at 9:30 PM) and George Michael (May 22 at 7:00 PM). ? Ghostlight Records has released the PRELUDES Original Cast Recording in digital formats and in stores today, January 8, 2016. Produced by LCT3, Lincoln Center Theater's initiative devoted to producing the work of new artists and engaging new audiences, PRELUDES is a new musical by Dave Malloy, inspired by the music of Sergei Rachmaninoff, developed with and directed by Rachel Chavkin. The album is produced by Dean Sharenow. The CD jewel-case package contains a 32-page booklet with full lyrics and production photography. Ghostlight previously released the original cast album of Malloy and Chavkin's musical Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812, which is opening on Broadway later this year starring Josh Groban. UP Comedy Club, 230 W. North Avenue, known for bringing top stand-up comedy talent to Chicago, announces a month long series of all-stars: Rachel Feinstein, Jan. 7-9; Chris Redd & Megan Gailey, Jan. 15-17; Kate Berlant & John Early, Jan. 21-23; and Sean Patton, Jan. 28-30.
