The Summer Play Festival announced today that tickets are now on-sale for the annual theater festival. For the second year, SPF will be held at The Public Theater on Lafayette Street in New York City. The festival runs from Tuesday, July 7th - Sunday, August 2nd 2009.

David Binder (A Raisin in the Sun) presents the Tectonic Theater Project's production of 33 VARIATIONS, currently in previews, starring Jane Fonda, Samantha Mathis, Colin Hanks, Zach Grenier, Don Amendolia, Susan Kellermann, Erik Steele and Diane Walsh, written and directed by Mois?s Kaufman.

EQUUS will conclude its 22-week engagement as scheduled on Broadway today, February 8th, 2009. The play opened in September 2008 at the Broadhurst Theatre, marking the Broadway debut of Daniel Radcliffe. The first Broadway production of MARY STUART in almost 40 years will be produced by Arielle Tepper Madover, Debra Black, David Binder, Scott M. Delman, Neal Street Productions, Matthew Byam Shaw and Barbara Whitman, Michael Grandage, Artistic Director of the Donmar said, 'I am thrilled we are bringing our work to Broadway again. Following the leadership of founder Arielle Tepper Madover, the highly-regarded Summer Play Festival (SPF) will return in the Summer of 2008 for a fifth year forming a new alliance with The Public Theater, running Tuesday, July 1 to Sunday, July 27, 2008.

The Public Theater has announced that The Donmar Warehouse in London, in association with producer Arielle Tepper Madover, will present a staged reading of Winter Miller's In Darfur on July 9, the same day that The Public will host a reading of the play at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park.
