The final production in this year's Mainstage Series at the Peck School of the Arts in Milwaukee is a new adaptation of Anton Chekhov's classic play Three Sisters, directed by Associate Professor Rebecca Holderness and adapted by graduating Theatre student Fly Steffens.

From May 29th to June 16th Mercurius will be performing Anton Chekhov's Vaudevilles at the Brockley Jack Studio Theatre. A collection of the comic vaudeville sketches that Chekhov wrote for satirical magazines and revues, adapted and translated by Michael Frayn.

Target Margin Theater (David Herskovits, Artistic Director; John Del Gaudio, Managing Director) concludes the 2011-2012 season, aptly titled "After Anton," with a reimagined look at Anton Chekhov's Uncle Vanya. Directed by David Herskovits, the cast features Clare Barron as Marina, Don Castro as Telegin, Rebecca Hart as Helena, Susan Hyon as Sonya, Mary Neufeld as Serebryakov, Edward O'Blenis as Astrov, Greig Sargeant as Vanya, and Yuri Skujins as Mme. Voynitskaya (who replaces previously announced Steven Rattazzi).

Target Margin Theater (David Herskovits, Artistic Director; John Del Gaudio, Managing Director) has announced the complete cast for its reimagined look at Anton Chekhov's UNCLE VANYA. Performances begin today, April 26, 2012 for a limited engagement through Saturday, May 19 2012 at HERE (145 Sixth Avenue, entrance on Dominick Street, one block south of Spring). Opening Night is Monday, April 30, 2012.

With Big Story Small, Pony World Theatre distills a collection of classic plays into potent, short works. In the company's second installment of Big Story Small, eight "new" plays have been adapted by local writers and will perform three nights only, May 10, 11, and 12 at 8pm at Theatre Off Jackson. The collection is staged with the assistance of puppets, shadows, a tiny orchard, animation, and more. Big Story Small is produced in association with Theatre Off Jackson.
