Ruskin Group Theatre proudly presents an adventure based on the legend of 17th Century French dramatist and duelist Savinien de Bergerac, now known the world over as Cyrano. Afflicted with an enormous and bulbous nose, he is convinced that no woman can ever love him, and thus makes himself notorious in Paris for his courage, gallantry, and charm of verse. Putting aside his own love for the beautiful Roxanne, he offers his powers of expression to his rival, as this hysterical and stirring adventure unfolds.

Bravo starts the year off on a high note as Golden Globe-winner Jim Carrey, one of the most sought-after guests in 'Inside the Actors Studio' history, takes the hot seat on Monday, January 10th at 8pm et/pt. Host James Lipton first invited Carrey 17 years ago to appear on the show and on the night of the memorable taping, told the audience Carrey is worth the '17 years of foreplay.' Leaving no stone unturned, Lipton courses through Carrey's early days as a class clown in school to the janitorial job he had to take in order to support his family. Carrey talks about how he developed his character for Ace Ventura and reveals that his technique was similar to Anthony Hopkins method for creating Hannibal Lector. Carrey traverses his career from In Living Color, The Mask, The Truman Show and his most recent blockbuster hit, I Love You, Phillip Morris, which was just nominated in the category of 'Best Comedy' for the 16th Annual Critics' Choice Movie Awards. Though no official cancellation notice has gone up on the NYT Arts & Leisure Weekend's web site for a scheduled conversation on January 8th between Patrick Healy of the Times and currently troubled SPIDER-MAN director Julie Taymor, ticket buyers are telling us that they received a refund notice yesterday and the event is no longer on sale, marked as cancelled on the ticket sales web site.

De Niro to Receive Golden Globe's DeMille Award

The first Golden Globe winner of 2011 has been announced, and it's none other than film legend Robert De Niro, according to E!Online. The 67 year old actor won a Best Actor Golden Globe for Raging Bull and has been nominated seven times in the same category since then. But this time, De Niro will be honored with the Cecil B. DeMille Award for 'outstanding contribution to the entertainment field.'
