Belvoir has announced a suite of major new opportunities for emerging and independent artists aimed at supporting the future of theatre locally and nationally. At the annual Philip Parsons Memorial Lecture at Belvoir St Theatre last night, presented by Nick Schlieper, Artistic Director Eamon Flack announced a major new independent theatre program - 25A - which reopens the Downstairs Theatre to independent artists, the inaugural Andrew Cameron Fellowship for an emerging artistic leader, and the launch of a discount ticket program for artists for 2018.

National Theatre of Parramatta (NTofP) has just announced Season 2018 comprising four world premieres with six Australian plays. The program focuses on identity, belonging and place - at their heart is an exploration of families, the humanity we all share and how we evolve and navigate the world around us.

The upcoming 2018 season at The Old Fitz will feature 3 World Premieres (including a musical), 3 Australian Premiers, 2 Sydney Premieres, and 2 Of the great contemporary love stories.
