The Barrow Group Theatre Company presents its 16th Annual Celebrity Doodles Auction & Gala on Monday, May 10th, 2010. Each year celebrities donate their artwork, or doodles, that are auctioned off in this annual fundraiser, at which The Barrow Group also honors individuals for their service to the arts and TBG. This year's honorees include Jon Marans and David Diamond.

The Off-Broadway hit Love, Loss, and What I Wore has been consistently delighting and touching women of all ages at the West Side Theater since it opened. Producer Daryl Roth announced that all audience members who attend the 3:00 PM matinee on Mother's Day (Sunday, May 9) will receive a goodie bag full of special Love, Loss, and What I Wore merchandise, making tickets to Love, Love, Loss and What I Wore the perfect Mother's Day gift.

Off Broadway's most fashionable show, Love, Loss and What I Wore, welcomed its newest cast with a celebration immediately following the 8:00 PM performance on Thursday, April 1, 2010. Joining the production are Lucy DeVito ('It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia'), Judy Gold (25 Questions for a Jewish Mother), Melissa Joan Hart ('Sabrina the Teenage Witch'), Jayne Houdyshell (Well) and Shirley Knight (As Good As It Gets). Barefoot Theatre Company will present the closing event of the 70/70 Project, a yearlong, worldwide festival showcasing 70 plays by Israel Horovitz. The celebration features a reading of Unexpected Tenderness, one of Horovitz's most personal plays, live music, a surprise guest host and more.

Golden Globe nominated actor Michael Stuhlbarg (Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy for A Serious Man) will feature in Israel Horovitz's Unexpected Tenderness, the finale of the Barefoot Theatre Company's 70/70 Project.

Barefoot Theatre Company will present the closing event of the 70/70 Project, a yearlong, worldwide festival showcasing 70 plays by the soon-to-be 71-year-old playwright. The celebration features a reading of Unexpected Tenderness, one of Horovitz's most personal plays, live music, a surprise guest host and more. This special evening will take place at the Bleecker Street Theatre (45 Bleecker between Lafayette and Mott streets) on Wednesday, March 31st, 2010. Cocktail hour is at 7pm; curtain rises at 8. Tickets are $25 per person.

Producer Daryl Roth announced today that Anna Chlumsky (My Girl), Julie Halston (Gypsy) and Brooke Shields ('Lipstick Jungle') will join the previously announced Doris Roberts in Nora Ephron and Delia Ephron's smash hit show Love, Loss, and What I Wore beginning April 28 (through May 23). It was also announced today that Love, Loss, and What I Wore alumnae Lucy DeVito and Jayne Houdyshell will return to the show as part of the April cast (March 31 - April 25), which also includes Judy Gold, Melissa Joan Hart and Shirley Knight.

Last night, December 7, The Mint Theater Company opened its hotly anticipated production of So Help Me God!, toplined by Kristen Johnston and Anna Chlumsky, to critical raves. The Off-Broadway run, which began begin previews on November 18th runs through December 20. BroadwayWorld was on hand to capture the curtain call and after party!

Mint Theater Company today announced that its second offering of the season, So Help Me God! by Maurine Dallas Watkins (the author of Chicago, the play upon which the musical is based), will be directed by Mint Artistic Director Jonathan Bank, taking over for the previously announced Martin Platt, who has left the production for personal reasons.
