Lyricist Amanda McBroom (Pasadena Playhouse's Heartbeats and "The Rose"/Bette Midler) and composer Michele Brourman (TV's The Land Before Time and Universal Studios' The Little Engine that Could), the musical writing-duo of Pasadena Playhouse's upcoming musical Dangerous Beauty, together with the world premiere musical's leading lady Jenny Powers (Broadway's Grease as Rizzo and Little Women as Meg), will perform one special night at Show at Barre entitled DANGEROUS BEAUTIES.

The A.C.T. Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A.) Program and Young Conservatory present the world premiere production of award-winning playwright Karen Hartman's Wild Kate, directed by W. D. Keith.

Alice Ripley, who received the 2009 Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical for her performance in the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning Next to Normal, will reprise her acclaimed performance in the musical's 36-week multi-city North American tour, launching November 23 with a six-week engagement at the Center Theatre Group/Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles. Following the premiere, the tour has confirmed engagements in Denver, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, Des Moines, Providence, Hartford, Pittsburgh, St. Louis, Chicago, St. Paul, Cleveland, Philadelphia, Charlotte, Washington, DC, and Toronto.

The New York Times is reporting that real-life married couple Marrin Mazzie and Jason Danieley will be taking over the lead roles in Next to Normal on July 19th. This will mark the couple's first on-stage pairing in a Broadway show.

Award nominee Jennifer Damiano will play her final performance as Natalie in the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning musical Next to Normal on Sunday, July 18 at 7:30p.m. Tony Award winner Alice Ripley and two-time Tony Award nominee Brian D'Arcy James will also play their final performances.

Tony Award nominee Jennifer Damiano will play her final performance as Natalie in the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning musical Next to Normal on Sunday, July 18 at 7:30p.m. As previously announced, Tony Award winner Alice Ripley and two-time Tony Award nominee Brian d'Arcy James will also play their final performance on that date.
