Musical Theatre Guild, the winner of the Los Angeles Drama Critic's Circle Margaret Harford Award for sustained excellence in the theatre, has announced an exciting quintet of shows to celebrate its nineteenth season of Broadway in Concert musicals. The MTG 2014-2015 season includes: SWEET SMELL OF SUCCESS, TRIUMPH OF LOVE, THE GOLDEN APPLE, GENTLEMEN PREFER BLONDES and ROAD SHOW.

New York-based Beautiful Soup Theater, known for their revivals of Liliom, Rags, A Doll's Life and Moose Murders, has announced their 2014-2015 theatrical season. The season will begin in September with a revival of Lillian Hellman's The Autumn Garden. A study of the defeats, disappointments and diminished expectations of people reaching middle age, Hellman's rarely-seen memory play returns to New York in a new production from Beautiful Soup Artistic Director Steven Carl McCasland.

'Call the Midwife,' the acclaimed BBC/PBS series by Emmy-nominated screenwriter and playwright Heidi Thomas, began airing its third season on March 30, 2014 on PBS in the US and continues through May 18, 2014. The period drama, which follows the midwives and nuns of a convent in the poor East End of London in the 1950s, first premiered to record ratings on BBC One in the UK in January, 2012 and began airing in the US in fall of 2012 on PBS, earning ecstatic reviews from television writers. It is currently the BBC's top-rated drama, earning 10.5 million viewers per episode and has been sold to 197 territories worldwide. 'Call the Midwife' is produced by Neal Street Productions, a film, television and stage production company, founded and run by Sam Mendes, Pippa Harris and Caro Newling.

Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe's beloved musical GIGI will play a pre-Broadway engagement in the Eisenhower Theater atThe John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts (David M. Rubenstein, chairman, Michael M. Kaiser, president) in Washington, D.C. in January 2015.

Schaeffer (Follies), in a new adaptation by acclaimed British playwright and Emmy-nominated screenwriter Heidi Thomas ('Cranforde,' 'Upstairs Downstairs,' 'Call the Midwife').

The Actors Company Theatre (TACT) presents a revival of 'Happy Birthday' by Anita Loos (author of 'Gentlemen Prefer Blondes'), an utterly charming fizzy cocktail of fun from the 1940s.

Robin Amos Kahn and Gary Richard's Scrambled Eggs, directed by Matthew Penn, will be getting the New York treatment. It will get its New York premiere on April 23 at Theatre Row's Becket Theatre at 410 West 42 Street. The show will open on April 27, and play through to May 11.
