On Tuesday night, November 1, PBS television stations across the country will broadcast an under-reported story from the frontlines of Colombia's resurging war, entitled, The War We are Living. This is the fourth part of a five-part series, Women War & Peace, a comprehensive television initiative exploring women's strategic role in conflict and peacebuilding. The program is narrated by actress Alfre Woodard.

Maryanna Clarke, founder and artistic director of Tennessee Women's Theater Project (TWTP), has announced that renowned playwright and actress Regina Taylor will create the first original script for the company, thanks to a 'creation grant' awarded the company by the Metropolitan Nashville Arts Commission.

The Creative Arts portion of the 63rd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards were distributed in a ceremony held at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles on Sept. 10. An edited version of the show will air on ReelzChannel on Sept. 17, the night before the Primetime Emmys air on FOX.

Renowned actress, producer and humanitarian Mary Tyler Moore will receive Screen Actors Guild (SAG)'s most prestigious accolade - the Screen Actors Guild Life Achievement Award. American film's finest have confirmed their participation on the American Film Institute (AFI) Gala Benefit Committee honoring 39th Life Achievement Award recipient, Morgan Freeman. Members of this year's benefit committee are Ben Affleck, Jim Carrey, Clint Eastwood, Tom Hanks, Ashley Judd, Helen Mirren, Mike Nichols, Jack Nicholson, Brad Pitt, Sidney Poitier, Robert Redford, Tim Robbins, Steven Spielberg, Hilary Swank, Denzel Washington and Alfre Woodard. AFI will present the 39th AFI Life Achievement Award - America's highest honor for a career in film - to Freeman on June 9th. 'TV Land Presents: The AFI Life Achievement Award Honoring Morgan Freeman' will air on TV Land on Sunday, June 26, 2011 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT.

Starting this week, Discovery Communication's Military Channel will air a series of PSAs produced by The Creative Coalition in partnership with Blue Star Families, with support from the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS) and Health Net, Inc. Directed by actor and President of The Creative Coalition Tim Daly, the PSAs promote a toll-free suicide prevention help line.
