Northport's oldest theatre group, The Minstrel Players Theatre Company of Northport, kick off their 2014 season at Houghton Hall - Trinity Episcopal Church, 130 Main Street in scenic Northport Village with a staging of David Lindsay-Abaire's absurd comedy, 'Wonder Of the World'. Performances are over two weekends on Saturday, April 26th and May 3rd at 8 P.M. and a 3 P.M. matinee performances on Sunday, April 27th and May 4th. In its fifth weekend at the box office, Disney's latest animtated feature, FROZEN, iced out the competition, claiming the top spot with $20.7 million, pushing the film to the $300 million mark.

Disney's latest animated adventure, FROZEN, lit up the weekend box office during its second outing, taking the top spot with $31.6 million, according to Deadline.

Nominations for the 41st Annie Awards have been announced. Topping the list with 10 nominations each are Disney's Frozen and Monster's University.

According to Boxofficemojo.com, Lionsgate's The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and Disney's Frozen broke a slew of box office records over the Thanksgiving Weekend and together, earned $200 million for the five-day time period.

CATCHING FIRE, at No. 1, took in $74.5 million for the weekend. FROZEN, in second place, grossed just over $66.7 million. 'FIRE' set the new standard for the highest Thanksgiving weekend gross, while FROZEN shattered the record for highest Thanksgiving debut weekend gross.
