Mesa Arts Center today announced its 2014-2015 Performing Live Season, which begins with Lyle Lovett & His Large Band on July 24, and includes performances with Tony Bennett, MythBusters, Bill Cosby, Joshua Bell, Evil Dead the Musical, Molly Ringwald, and many more. The shows unveiled today are in addition to the six series packages announced on May 1, including Broadway on Center, Classical, Dance, Jazz, National Geographic Live, and Spoken World.

MEET & GREET, a new comedy play by tv veterans Stan Zimmerman (The Golden Girls, Roseanne, Gilmore Girls) & Christian McLaughlin (Married with Children, Desperate Housewives) and directed by Stan Zimmerman (Entertaining Mr. Sloane, Blink & You Might Miss Me, A Tuna Christmas), will be presented by Combined Artform at Hollywood Fringe 2014. The outrageous comedy features an all star cast, including Daniele Gaither (Mad TV, Groundlings), Teresa Ganzel (Wall-E, The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson), Carolyn Hennesy (True Blood, General Hospital), Paul Iacono (G.B.F., The Hard Times of RJ Berger) and Vicki Lewis (NewsRadio, Chicago on Broadway). It runs for five performances at Theatre Asylum, 6320 Santa Monica Blvd in Los Angeles on Sunday June 8th at 4pm, Saturday June 14th at 7pm, Sunday June 22nd at 7pm, Wednesday June 25th at 8:30pm and Saturday June 28th at 7pm. Tickets are $15 online or $20 at the door.

The entire season will be announced the last week of April, when Wharton Center subscribers will receive the season brochure and order form. Hallmark Channel's 'Countdown to Christmas' soars to the top again with its two original holiday premieres, 'Let It Snow' and 'The Christmas Spirit'. The top holiday destination on television, Hallmark Channel's Saturday and Sunday premieres boosted the network to rank #1 in total day among its core demographic of women 25-54 rating for the week of November 25 - December 1. The November 30 debut of 'Let it Snow', starring Candace Cameron-Bure, was the #1 cable movie of the week - garnering a 3.9 household rating and reaching over 6.1 million unduplicated viewers. This marks the fifth consecutive week that Hallmark Channel has delivered the #1 cable movie of the week. The December 1 premiere of 'The Christmas Spirit' scored a 3.1 household rating with 5.1 million unduplicated viewers and claimed the #2 cable movie of the week.
