The Public Theater (Artistic Director, Oskar Eustis; Executive Director, Patrick Willingham) announced additional casting today for the 2013 season of free Shakespeare in the Park at the Delacorte. This summer, all performances for THE COMEDY OF ERRORS and LOVE'S LABOUR'S LOST, A NEW MUSICAL will begin at 8:30 p.m. with running times of approximately 90 minutes, no intermission.

Soho Rep has announced casting and an official opening date for the world premiere of Lucas Hnath's play A Public Reading of an Unproduced Screenplay About the Death of Walt Disney.

The Old Globe today announced Thinking Shakespeare Live!, a 90-minute presentation exploring the language of Shakespeare, on Saturday, June 15 at 11 a.m. Led by Old Globe Artistic Director Barry Edelstein and assisted by three professional classical actors, this special program based on Edelstein's book, Thinking Shakespeare: A How-To Guide for Student Actors, Directors, and Anyone Else Who Wants to Feel More Comfortable with the Bard, will reveal a performer's approach to Shakespearean language so audiences may easily understand the poetry of the Bard. An ideal introduction to Shakespeare for families and young audiences, Thinking Shakespeare Live! will take place on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. HBO leads the networks in nominations with 21, followed closely by FX which collected 19. Topping the list of nominated series are American Horror Story: Asylum (FX) and The Big Bang Theory (CBS) with six nominations each. Other series with multiple nominations include Parks and Recreation (NBC) and Top Of The Lake (Sundance) with five each and The Americans (FX), Breaking Bad (AMC), Game of Thrones (HBO), The Good Wife (CBS), Louie (FX), New Girl (FOX) andPolitical Animals (USA) with four each.

The Mirage Hotel & Casino will welcome comedian Bill Burr to the resort when he makes his Aces of Comedy debut at the Terry Fator Theatre tonight, May 17 - 18 at 10 p.m. nightly. Burr is one of the top comedic voices of his generation, achieving success in TV and film as well as the live stage.

Hidden secrets are unearthed and family tensions fly high in Pulitzer Prize nominee Jon Robin Baitz's contemporary family drama Other Desert Cities, hailed by the New York Times as "the best new play on Broadway" in 2011. Val Kilmer, famous for his portrayals of iconic characters such as Jim Morrison (The Doors), Doc Holliday (Tombstone) and Batman (Batman Forever), inhabits the spirit of yet another legendary figure: Mark Twain. Kilmer continues to develop Citizen Twain, a solo show about the man considered to be the world's greatest storyteller, at the Kirk Douglas Theatre in Culver City, June 28 to July 14 for a limited three-week engagement, followed by this fall by performances in London's West End.

Variety reports that Maggie Smith, Kevin Kline, Jane Birkin and Dominique Pinon are set to star in the comedy drama MY OLD LADY. The project will be a big screen adaptation of the stage play by Israel Horovitz, who will make his feature film directorial debut.
