Adam Green, son of award-winning writer Adolph Green, has partnered with Vanity Fair to offer an account on how Leonard Bernstein, Jerome Robbins, Betty Comden, and his father brought the beloved musical ON THE TOWN to Broadway seven decades ago in a new essay.

In celebration of this season's ON THE TOWN, we've collected 10 of our favorite dance musicals. Broadway's timeless family musical Peter Pan will launch FPAC's 24th season and premiere year in THE BLACK BOX, the company's new home and performance venue in downtown Franklin. FPAC's production of this soaring, magical adventure will be presented October 17-19 and 24-26 with live professional orchestra and the spectacular aerial effects of Flying By Foy. Audiences are invited to journey along with Peter Pan, Tinker Bell and the Darling children on a swashbuckling fantasy adventure to Neverland.

Barrington Stage Company, under the leadership of Artistic Director Julianne Boyd and Managing Director Tristan Wilson, welcomes the return of Drama Desk Award-winner Jim Brochu in his new show Character Man, following his wildly successful run of Zero Hour in 2011. A musical valentine celebrating the Golden Age of the American Musical, Character Man will be presented at BSC's St. Germain Stage at the Sydelle and Lee Blatt Performing Arts Center from tonight, September 18 through 28. The press opening is Saturday, September 20 at 7:30pm.
