Academy Award-winning director, filmmaker, and executive producer George Lucas will be honored with the prestigious NAACP Vanguard Award Presented by UAW/Chrysler at the '43RD NAACP Image Awards,' broadcast live from Los Angeles' historic Shrine Auditorium on Friday, February 17 (8-10 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) on NBC.

VH1's beloved franchise 'VH1 Divas' paid tribute to the great cities of soul music tonight including Chicago, Detroit, London, Memphis and Philadelphia. The all-star diva roster included Mary J. Blige, Kelly Clarkson, Florence + The Machine, Jennifer Hudson, Jessie J. and Jill Scott, accompanied by one of the most exciting groups of modern soul, The Roots, with Questlove and Adam Blackstone as musical directors. WENN News reports that the 2002 Keira Knightley film, Bend It Like Beckham, is currently being adapted for the stage, helmed by the film's director, Gurinder Chadha. The new musical has both West End and Broadway aspirations, according to the report. Says Chadha: 'The script is ready to go. It's going to be on both the West End and Broadway. We are currently deciding who is the right person to write the score, so it's at a really exciting stage.'

He'll play 'a liberal, ex-hippie type who marches to a different drummer. He'll preside over a case Alicia (Julianna Margulies) is working on with a sharp eye, but rather laid-back speech.'

Set to appear in The Good Wife this season are stage and screen veterans Parker Posey, Peter Jacobson, and Bill Heck; they join the previously announced Harvey Fierstein, Michael Arden, and Eddie Izzard in the set of guest stars that the CBS drama has lined up.
