Award winning choreographers Ann Reinking and Melissa Thodos are teaming again to co-choreograph A Light in the Dark, the story of Helen Keller and Anne Sullivan, their second full-length contemporary story ballet, this time telling an intimate family story about the extraordinary woman who was deaf and blind yet went on to become a world-famous writer, political activist and inspiration to all.

Theater and fashion will share the spotlight for a special one-night only Broadway-themed fashion collection at this season's New York Couture Fashion Week. The collection will take place on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at The New Yorker Hotel in Manhattan.

Featured this week, January 7 through the 13th, at Joe's Pub at The Public are Noche Flamenca, Drew Gasparini, Bridget Everett & The Tender Moments, The Hot Sardines, Folk Wandering in Convert, Ethan Lipton & His Orchestra, Samita Sinha, Cherry Poppin Daddies, Thomas Dolby, Bettye Lavette, Nomadic Massive, Lea Delaria & Janette Mason, Globalfest 2013, JVP, del aria, Hoffman & NJJ and Marcia Ball.

Now in its 7th year, the FringeNYC Encore Series gives theatre lovers another chance at seeing some of the most critically acclaimed and most crowd-pleasing shows from the Festival. Beginning September 7th, the FringeNYC Encore Series will present 19 'Best of The Festival' shows in rotating repertory at SoHo Playhouse and The Huron Club (both located at 15 Vandam Street between 6th Avenue & Varick) as well as at The Players Theater (115 MacDougal Street between Bleecker and Houston Streets). Chosen from hundreds of submissions by playwriting workshops, university theatre programs, and professional companies both in the U.S. and abroad, these 40 plays will be presented July 13th - 18th at the Lion Theatre in Theatre Row (410 W. 42nd Street). Out of these plays, six finalists will be chosen by the Samuel French, Inc. editorial staff to receive publication and licensing contracts.

The 2010 Festival of New American Musicals, a three month musical theatre festival, will be held May 16 through August 21 2010, throughout Southern California. Marcia Seligson, Bob Klein, and Linda Shusett are the Executive Producers of the annual festival, now in its third year.

Theater Talk, a weekly expose of world theater that airs on PBS Friday nights (PBS/Thirteen) and 5 times weekly on CUNY TV will feature Broadway's best, including the creative team of Fela, Finian's Rainbow master magician, Neil Simon, George S.
