Feinstein's at Loews Regency continues its Fall 2012 season with the premiere engagement of Grammy nominated jazz singer, Sue Raney. For her first New York nightclub engagement in 25 years, Raney is accompanied by her longtime colleague Alan Broadbent on piano, in addition to Harvie Swartz on bass and Bill Goodwin on drums. Part of the evening's repertoire will be drawn from their last two albums together: Heart's Desire: A Tribute to Doris Day and Listen Here. The show will run through November 10 at the Loews Regency Hotel (540 Park Avenue at 61st Street).

The pair will perform a collection of ballads from some of the most popular songwriters of the twentieth century such as George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Harold Arlen, Richard Rodgers and Irving Berlin. Yazbek - whose influences range from Captain Beefheart to Frank Loesser - plans to deliver musical pyrotechnics, new songs debuted at every show, and unexpected, thrilling guests from the worlds of theater, music, comedy and beyond. For his first show on December 3, Yazbek welcomes Tony award-winning lyricist and composer, longtime friend and former bandmate Adam Guettel (The Light in the Piazza).

Pianist Inon Barnatan will perform works inspired by stories and poems that explore the interconnection of darkness and light in a solo recital at the 92nd Streety Y's Kauffman Concert Hall on Thursday, December 6, 2012 at 7:30 pm. Part of the four-concert series, Masters of the Keyboard, the program includes a selection of musically diverse pieces including Debussy's Suite Bergamasque, Stevenson's Fantasy on Britten's Peter Grimes, Thomas Ades's Darknesse Visible, Ravel's La valse, and Schubert's Sonata in A major, D. 959.
