Now in its eleventh year, Chicago Dance Month provides more than 60 performance opportunities for artists and companies to celebrate the myriad talents that make Chicago’s dance scene so strong.

Winifred Haun & Dancers (WH&D) continues its 25th Moonstone Season with FIRST DRAFT: New Work by Chicago Dancemakers. FIRST DRAFT 2023 will be a showcase of 8 new works by 8 Chicago area choreographers, from March 3 to 5 at Link's Hall. 

See Chicago Dance, the dance industry's nonprofit service organization, and its Executive Director Julia Mayer, kicked off their 10th Chicago Dance Month, this year in conjunction with the city’s Year of Chicago Dance campaign, Saturday, May 28 at Navy Pier’s Lake Stage. The launch included a sample of Chicago’s dance community and 2022 Chicago Dance Month offerings. 

Pivot Arts, a hub for adventurous, multidisciplinary performance, presents the 2022 Pivot Arts Festival, highlighting artists' resilience and ability to “pivot” during the pandemic to film/video works and creatively structured live events.

Mark DeGarmo Dance broadcasts its transcultural transdisciplinary Virtual Salon Performance Series for Social Change to an international audience on Zoom with performances featuring international and emerging performing artists.

To support the growth of local Chicago dancemakers in the era of COVID-19, Chicago Dancemakers Forum will grant $10,000 each to ten dance creators and their collaborators for the development of new dance works that use digital, online, mobile, and/or virtual technologies.
