Philip Oxnam

I changed my name to what most people called me much of my adult life, which is just two letters OX (no first, middle or last). I could only afford one vowel from Vanna White.

I am a graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and have completed course work equivalent to hours necessary for 3 doctorates in film, television and theatre. I acted, directed, was a casting director, with work on Broadway, off-Broadway, in feature film, television movies, daytime television, television commercials, regional, stock and dinner theatre. I owned my own on-camera acting studio in NYC, The Acting Laboratory, coached acting, to actors, models and professional athletes trying to get into the business and taught acting at Lamoille Union Middle and High School, in Vermont.

Since then, I have moved to Colorado, Arizona, New Jersey and now Connecticut. I have spent much of my life creating for: acting, soccer, snow skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling and archery.

I have World, National, Eastern, New England and State Championships in 5 different sports.

I was Norwich University's first Rhodes Scholar candidate and am a Distinguished Military Graduate and have been inducted into the Norwich University Athletic Hall of Fame 3 times, as an individual athlete for soccer and swimming and as the captain of the 6th team ever inducted and a starter on the 18th team inducted. Those were the first two Norwich teams to be invited to NCAA Playoff Round of 16, back when there was no delineation between Divisions I, II and III.

I am a spiritual person, who has published "My Secret Life In The Light" and my second book, "Self-Connecting and Self-Empowering" is ready for publishing.

I am currently living in Heritage Village, Southbury CT.
