Odyssey Theatre Ensemble will present the Los Angeles premiere of an electrifying adaptation, by acclaimed British director Richard Eyre, of what may be Henrik Ibsen’s most controversial play. Directed by Bart DeLorenzo, Ghosts will kick off with two public previews on Sunday, Sept. 4 at 4 p.m. and Wednesday, Sept. 7 at 8 p.m.

BroadwayWorld has teamed up with renowned caricature artist Ken Fallin, a life-long theater enthusiast, who has drawn many Broadway and Off-Broadway productions. Bergen County Players (BCP) continues its 86th season with Veronica's Room, written by Ira Levin and directed by Ellyn Essig. Dorothy thinks she is lost forever when a terrifying tornado crashes through Kansas and whisks her and her dog, Toto, far away to the magical land of Oz. To get home Dorothy must follow the yellow brick road to the Emerald City and find the wonderfully mysterious Wizard of Oz. Together with her companions - the Tin Woodman, the Scarecrow and the Cowardly Lion, whom she meets on the way - Dorothy embarks on a strange and enchanting adventure.

The story begins on October 16th, 1817 with a single line in a brewer's log. The handwritten note reveals the first eight barrels of Guinness beer a porter to be exact meant for America would make their arrival in South Carolina. Ever since then, the bond between America and Ireland has continued to grow, from Irish immigrants searching for a better life to community leaders to, of course, Guinness and the countless pints shared responsibly with the people of the United States.

A long-time favorite recipe in Belgium and a small batch ale originally brewed as a holiday gift for a lucky few outside of the Open Gate Brewery led to the two latest Guinness & Co. releases from The Brewers Project: Guinness Antwerpen Stout and Guinness Rye Pale Ale. For a limited time, the two new beers join a growing Guinness lineup that has recently welcomed additions such as Guinness Blonde American Lager and Guinness Nitro IPA conceived by the experimental brewery within St. James's Gate.

In support of the Canadian Cancer Society, Ottawa-based pop singer-songwriter Lola Spriggs (www.lolaspriggs.com) entertained audiences during a headlining appearance at the Lone Star Texas Grill on June 2. The event drew many fans and supporters who helped raise $2,500 for the organization. An opening set was performed by funk rock folk band Hippie Campfire.

Currently gearing up to record a follow up to her pop album Shine, Ottawa based singer-songwriter Lola Spriggs (www.lolaspriggs.com) is set to headline a fundraising event for the Canadian Cancer Society (www.cancer.ca) on the afternoon of Sunday, June 2.
