Gamm Theatre Hires Amy Gravell As Managing Director


The board of directors of The Sandra Feinstein-Gamm Theatre (The Gamm) has announced the hiring of Amy Gravell as managing director, effective November 11. Gravell comes with more than 20 years of experience in Rhode Island's nonprofit sector, and a deep commitment to community building and the arts.

GAMM GALA 34 will honor Steve Durkee with The David Wax Award for Outstanding Commitment to the Arts in recognition of his remarkable contributions to the arts in Rhode Island. This special evening also celebrates The Gamm's first season in its new Warwick home.  

Gamm Stages First Play For Young Audiences In Warwick


The Gamm Education Department is pleased to present Charlie Bumpers vs. the Really Nice Gnome by Bill Harley, adapted and directed by Jessica Chace. Last season, a successful limited run of Charlie Bumpers vs. the Teacher of the Year launched Gamm Education Presents, the theater's first programming for young audiences. This second Gamm-Harley collaboration promises even more fun for the entire family in The Gamm's new, larger Warwick venue.

Williams' THE NIGHT OF THE IGUANA Opens Debut Season in Warwick


The Sandra Feinstein-Gamm Theatre(The Gamm) opens Season 34 (2018-2019) with Tennessee Williams' rarely performed masterpiece, The Night of the Iguana. The production marks the theater's debut in its new home at 1245 Jefferson Blvd., Warwick, RI. Considered Williams' last great play, The Night of the Iguana follows defrocked Episcopal clergyman Rev. T. Lawrence Shannon and fellow guests at a dilapidated resort on the Mexican coast -- all seeking human connection while battling their personal demons.

Gamm Announces New Opening Date For Season 34 In Warwick


The Sandra Feinstein-Gamm Theatre (The Gamm) will open its debut season in its new Warwick home on October 11 with Tennessee Williams' The Night of the Iguana. This shift from a previously scheduled September opening will allow The Gamm to start its 2018-2019 season with renovations to its performance space fully completed and the venue ready for audiences.

The 2018-2019 season will also deliver an enhanced audience experience, from free parking in our private lot, to a spacious lobby and a newly renovated, flexible performance space.

Director Judith Swift (Grounded, The Beauty Queen of Leenane) mounts a limited 4-week run of this twisting, turning, two-tiered investigation into the moral consequences of making even the most depraved dreams a reality in the virtual world.

Tony Estrella, artistic director of The Sandra Feinstein-Gamm Theatre (The Gamm), is pleased to announce the theater's 2016-2017 Season. The diverse 5-play line-up includes contemporary landmark plays, a world premiere adaptation of a classic masterpiece, and a cutting-edge sci-fi crime drama new to Gamm audiences. 'In what may be our most ambitious slate of plays yet, we'll travel to the Tudor court of 16th-century England for King Elizabeth, a new version of Friedrich Schiller's political masterpiece Mary Stuart; then to a girls boarding school in New England for Lillian Hellman's groundbreaking Depression-era drama, The Children's Hour.

The Gamm Receives Gift to Establish Endowment Fund


The Sandra Feinstein-Gamm Theatre has announced an endowment gift of $50,000 from David M. Wax, the theater's former board president and managing director, and his wife, Elaine Arden Cali. The gift will establish a permanent fund to benefit the long-term goals of The Gamm, ensure the organization's financial security, and generate general annual operating income in support of artistic and educational programming.
