The board of directors of The Sandra Feinstein-Gamm Theatre (The Gamm) is pleased to announce the hiring of Oliver Dow as Managing Director, effective November 3. Dow comes with over 15 years of experience in professional theater, both non-profit and commercial, including management and development positions at several prominent Off-Broadway venues. Dow joins The Gamm to continue a period of unprecedented growth in both audience numbers and critical acclaim, and will be integral to the development of the theater's next strategic plan. Dow will replace Managing Director David M. Wax who is leaving for health reasons after two and a half highly successful years in that position.

"David's shoes were always going to be very hard to fill, so I want to acknowledge our board and search committee for their incredible work in bringing Oliver in from a field of many outstanding candidates," said Gamm Artistic Director Tony Estrella. "I am excited and humbled to begin working with Oliver, a proven leader with an impressive array of experience at some of New York's leading theaters whose missions reflect The Gamm's passion for serious, provocative and innovative work. It's an exciting time here at The Gamm, with many strategic challenges ahead. Oliver is just the managing director we need to help The Gamm navigate those challenges and usher in our next phase of development."

Gamm Board President Leon Boghossian III commented, "The Gamm Theatre, the City of Pawtucket and the state of Rhode Island are all very lucky to have Oliver Dow as one of our own. We had many worthy applicants for this position but felt confident that Oliver's experience made him the right choice to lead our theater. On behalf of the board, we are so excited to have Oliver as our new managing director and look forward to working with him and taking The Gamm to even greater heights."
