The production opens in New York on April 7, 2010. Stops in San Antonio, Kansas City, Pittsburgh, and San Diego had been scheduled through early June thereafter, but will be cancelled, accordingly.
New York City is seeing spots as The 101 Dalmatians Musical comes to The Theater at Madison Square Garden April 7 - April 18, 2010, presented by Purina Dog Chow. To celebrate their arrival to New York City, the stars of the show and five live Dalmatians arrived in true NYC style aboard an FDNY fire truck lead by New York's bravest and also children from the Uniformed Firefighters Association Widows and Children's Fund, part of the Garden of Dreams Foundation. Yesterday, April 6, BroadwayWorld was on hand to partake in the welcome.
The New York Post recently took a look behind the scenes of the current tour of 101 DALMATIANS, specifically looking at the difficulties of having a cast of 15 dogs. According to the report, the dogs have received their own tour bus and enjoy more luxuries than many of the cast members.
