AMADEUS by Peter Shaffer is widely regarded as an absolute classic play from the 20th century. The words flow off the page with a rise and fall that can mimic great music - exactly what is needed to tell the story of the rivalry between Mozart and Salieri. What I loved most about this offering from Theatre on the Bay is the styling and how that pushed the musicality of the piece even more.

EXPELLED is a brand-new play from Rosalind Butler, and it deals with just how damaging social media can be for all ages. The characters in the play and the story feel incredibly relatable as many of us spend time questioning how much we live our lives through social media.

Pieter Toerien presents a brand-new, full-scale stage production of the HIT rock 'n roll jukebox musical, Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story, LIVE onstage at the Artscape Opera House, from 28 March to 16 April, and The Teatro at Montecasino from 21 April to 28 May.

With the first stop in Johannesburg drawing to a close next week, the international tour of EVITA is ready to transfer to Cape Town, where it will play the Artscape Opera House throughout December and into 2018 until 7 January.

The full cast for the Harold Prince-directed production of EVITA in South Africa has been announced. Presented by Pieter Toerien and David Ian, this revival of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber's iconic musical will see the original West End and Broadway production presented on stage at The Teatro at Montecasino and the Artscape Opera House later this year.

The Fugard Theatre's grand-scale, smash hit, all South African production of WEST SIDE STORY is currently running at the Joburg Theatre's Mandela Theatre in Johannesburg, presented by Eric Abraham and the Fugard Theatre.
