Long Island theatre patrons have the opportunity to attend the tale of a 'killer' production of Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler's horror musical 'Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street' at the Merrick Theatre & Center For the Arts until August 20.

In January, NCTC presents the West Coast premiere of Daniel's Husband, the acclaimed drama by Michael McKeever, directed by Allen Sawyer. Daniel and Mitchell enjoy life as the perfect couple. Perfect house, perfect friends. What isn't perfect is Daniel longs to be married. Mitchell does not. As their love story unfolds in this 'work of profoundly moving art' (The Sun-Sentinel), these two men learn the consequences of their points of view. Proclaimed by the Miami Herald as 'beautifully crafted, powerfully realized and emotionally devastating,' Daniel's Husband takes an unflinching look at how we choose to tie the knot. Or not.

We Players will present Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet at the historic Rancho Petaluma of Petaluma Adobe State Historic Park in August/September 2016. Continuing nearly 10 years of unprecedented partnership with the National Park Service and Califonira State Parks, We Players will once again integrate a well-loved Shakespeare play into the environs of a national historic landmark. Audiences will enter a 360-degree sphere of performance as We Players blurs the boundary between audience and actor and history and the present, all on the spectacular grounds of Rancho Petaluma Adobe. Being there are many productions of the iconic musical West Side Story running at any one time, it is imperative that the cast be absolutely brilliant. Indeed, the company at The Noel S. Little Women, the current musical at Creative Ministries Performing Arts Center (CM PAC), is indeed a pleasant production. This incarnation, directed by Ronald R. Green III, who also does sets and costumes, runs through March 10th at the Oakdale venue and boasts a very talented cast of 10.
