Betty J. Vaughn Releases TURBULENT WATERS

TotalRecall Publications, Inc. announced today that new Civil War novel 'Turbulent Waters' by Betty J. Vaughn is winner of the Clark Cox Historical Fiction Award from the North Carolina Society of Historians. A retired art teacher turned history sleuth and debut author, Vaugh immerses readers in the personal, cultural, and political upheavals during the early years of Reconstruction in the South of 1865 to 1867. She weaves a tale combining both Northern and Southern fictional characters and real people who lived in New Bern, Kinston, Fort Macon, and other North Carolina locales.
The Academy of The Company Theatre Teen Conservatory to Present Regional Premiere of THE HIDING PLACE

The Academy of The Company Theatre (ACT) Teen Conservatory presents the East Coast premiere of The Hiding Place: The Story of Corrie ten Boom, on May 10 and 11, 7:30 p.m. at The Company Theatre Centre for the Arts, 30 Accord Park Drive, Norwell, MA. The play, written by George Christison, is adapted from the book by Hingham residents John and Elizabeth Sherrill. This production is directed by Corinne Mason and Steve Dooner, and produced by The Company Theatre's co-artistic director Zoe Bradford.
Striving for the Epic, 'The Hiding Place' Just Might Make It

Last Saturday night, April 10, 2010, Chicago's Provision Theater Company presented the world premiere dramatic adaptation of the book 'The Hiding Place,' the real-life story of Corrie ten Boom, a Dutchwoman arrested by the Nazis who survived life in a concentration camp.
