Drew B. James BIO

Drew B James is a New York based actor who considers himself equal parts singer/dancer. He grew up in Greenfield, Wisconsin where, at a young age, his mother politely forced him into attending a summer acting program through First Stage Children's Theater. This led to the discovery of a career path for Drew and now he will graduate this spring from the Steinhardt School at New York University where he majored in Vocal Performance. Through NYU he performed in: Sweet Smell of Success (Ensemble), The Most Happy Fella (Ensemble, Dance Captain), Children of Eden (Cain), Street Scene (Dick McGann), Fiorello! (Ed Peterson, Dance Captain), Celebration (Orphan), and City of Angels (Buddy Fidler).

While living in New York Drew has had the privilege of working on many fantastic projects including: Mother of the Year (reading) at the York Theater; Broadway Dance Center's Musical Theater Performance Project at the Alvin Ailey Dance Studios; Our Hit Parade at Joe's Pub, The Legend of New York (demo recording) with Josh Salzman and Ryan Cunningham; The Steinhardt Singers with performances at Radio City Music Hall and Yankee Stadium.

Regionally Drew has spent time working at the Surflight Theater[Long Beach Island, NJ] playing George M. Cohan in the musical George M!, Skylight Opera Theater [Milwaukee, WI] (Best Foot Forward), Interlakes Summer Theater [Meredith, NH] (A Chorus Line, Hairspray, Cabaret, Singing in the Rain, Man of La Mancha), and the TriArts Sharon Playhouse [Sharon, CT] (The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, Spamalot).
