MCL Chicago Artistic Director Alex Garday is proud to announce the six original musicals selected for the inaugural Premier Premieres! A Weekend of New Musical Comedies festival. The festival received submissions from across the country with four finalists from Chicago and two finalists from New York City. Premier Premieres! will be held June 4-6, 2015, at MCL Chicago (3110 N. Sheffield). All shows are BYOB. Tickets for individual performances will be $15, nightly passes will be $25 (Friday) and $35 (Saturday), and festival passes will be $65. All tickets can be purchased via cash or credit at the door or online at MCLChicago.com. Each musical's estimated running time is between 60-90 minutes.
The current revival of Cole Porter's classic musical CAN-CAN at the Paper Mill Playhouse welcomed two audience members who loved the show - and each other - so much that they chose it as the location to commit to an engagement earlier this month.

Casting for MOTEL RASDELL: A New Musical was announced today. Broadway all stars head up the show: Emma Hunton (Rent, Next To Normal, Spring Awakening), Tim Young (Next To Normal), Sarah Litzsinger (Amour, Beauty & The Beast), Alena Watters (Sister Act, The Addams Family, West Side Story) and Jonathan Hadley (Jersey Boys, A Class Act).Other cast members include John Gardiner (National Tours of Jersey Boys, The Lion King), Emily McNamara (Newsical the Musical, My Big Gay Italian Wedding), RJ Woessner (ABC's One Life to Live, NBC's The Sing-Off) Ryan Powell, Sami Horneff, Jamie Cook, and Justin Liebergen.
