Join us on Thursday, July 7 for the opening night of Xanadu!  Get your ticket to the show and then come dressed in your favorite disco threads at 6:30 for a pre-show costume contest!  And then, show off your best disco move in our dance contest!  There will be prizes!  Get into the disco spirit before stepping through the theatre doors to enjoy a trip down memory lane as you experience - XANADU!!

Jessica Sanzone

Kira/Clio/Dance Captain
Jessica is thrilled to be at the Prizery Theatre this summer! She is based out of New York City and is currently attending Marymount Manhattan College to receive her BFA in Musical Theatre Performance. She graduated in 2019 from the Grunin Performing Arts Academy in NJ as a dance major. Jessica has trained in NYC with the Fosse/Verdon Legacy and with many other current Broadway professionals and veterans. She has worked for FELD Entertainment Industry in a Dreamworks Experience as a performer. Aside from performing, Jessica has a passion for teaching young aspiring artists. She is currently the Artistic Director for a children’s theater on the Jersey Shore, Broadway on the Boulevard. Last summer season she worked professionally at the Surflight Theatre in NJ. Some of her favorite past show credits are: Legally Blonde (Margot), Beauty and The Beast (Babette), Grease (Patty Simcox), A Chorus Line (Tricia/Female Swing), Pippin (U/S Fastrada/Female Swing) and many more! She would like to thank her Parents, Grace, and the Bolgiano Family for all the support!


Jonah Barricklo

Sonny Malone
Jonah Barricklo (Musical Theatre 2023, Sonny). Previous credits include: This Girl Laughs… (Father/Old Man), Memphis (Huey Calhoun), and Generation Wrecks, a new film featured at the Manhattan Film Festival and Dances With Films LA. Jonah is originally from NYC and has lived in Boston, MA for the last five years. He is going to be a senior at Emerson College in the fall. He owes everything to his friends and family for their love and support!


Nash Dawson

Danny Maguire/Terpsicore/Hermes/Dance Captain
Nash Dawson (BFA Musical Theatre/BA Dance 2022, Terpsichore/Danny/Dance Captain) just graduated from West Virginia University this past spring and this is his first professional performance contract. Past shows include: “Sweet Charity” (Ensemble/Dance Captain); “Spring Awakening” (Melchior); “Godspell” (Herb). Nash will always be thankful for the new family that he’s found in South Boston. Enjoy the Magic!


Claire Wilson

Calliope/Aphrodite
Claire Wilson (Calliope/Aphrodite) hails from Ashland, KY, where she made her theatrical debut in a 2010 production of The Best Christmas Pageant Ever directed by Melanie Cornelison-Jannotta. In 2021, she graduated with a BFA from Western Kentucky University and immediately began working with Nashville Children’s Theatre and Bright Star Touring Theatre. Most recently, Claire directed and performed as Mrs. Darling in Prairie Fire Children’s Theatre’s tour of Peter Pan in Minnesota. When in her home state, Claire performs with Murder and Merriment, a professional murder mystery improv troupe. Favorite previous roles include Susan ([title of show]), Touchstone (As You Like It), Miss Shields (A Christmas Story the Musical), and Mayella Ewell (To Kill a Mockingbird). Let’s Xanadu this thing.

Caylin Keliehor (Melpomene, Kira u/s), a recent Shenandoah Conservatory Alum, is pleased to be spending her summer with this lovely cast and crew. Favorite Regional Credits include: Audrey (LITTLE SHOP), Laker Girl, Lady of the Lake u/s, and D.C. (SPAMALOT), Tricia/Female Swing (A CHORUS LINE) and Urleen (FOOTLOOSE). Instagram: @mscaylink. Mateo Rueda-Calvo (Thalia) Past shows include: "La Cage Aux Folles" (Jacob); "Rent" (Ensemble); "Twelfth Night: Musical Adaptation" (Ensemble) Mateo is from Atlanta, GA and a recent graduate of The University of Memphis. Mateo would like to thank his family, everyone at The Prizery, the cast and crew of Xanadu, and the community of South Boston for the opportunity to make magic this summer!


Taylor Sheppard

Taylor Sheppard (Musical Theatre Major at Shenandoah Conservatory 2023) is so excited to be making her professional debut here at The Prizery. Her previous credits REEFER MADNESS (Sally), BRIGHT STAR (Ensemble), and HEATHERS: THE MUSICAL (Heather Duke). She would like her friends and family for the endless support.


Caitlyn Piedra

Caitlyn Piedra (she/her/hers) is very excited to be doing her first professional show with The Prizery. A rising senior at Shenandoah Conservatory, Caitlyn was born and raised in Miami, Florida. Her favorite roles/shows from the past are “Jeannie” in HAIR, “Nina Rosario” in IN THE HEIGHTS, and Katherine Plumber in NEWSIES. She would also like to thank her family and friends for the endless love and support.

Bowen Huang is very excited to join the Prizery this summer! Emerson College BFA '24 Musical Theater. Amanda Gonzalez

Amanda Gonzalez ( Muse Ensemble/Swing/ Props Master) is excited to make her professional debut this summer ! She is currently on her way to getting her BFA in Musical Theatre at Brenau University in the Gainesville Theatre Alliance ! Some of her favorite productions have been “Into The Woods” (Little Red), “9to5” (Maria), and “Matilda” (Teen/Adult Chorus). She hopes everyone enjoys the show and thanks her friends and family for always supporting her dreams ! <3

Melanie Cornelison-Jannotta

Director/Choreographer/Costumes
Melanie Cornelison-Jannotta is thrilled to be the new Executive Director for The Prizery. She was previously the Artistic Director for The Andy Griffith Playhouse in Mount Airy, NC and The Paramount Arts Center in Ashland, KY. She is originally from Mocksville, NC. Melanie received the 2016 Distinguished Merit Award from the AACT. She has won awards from KTA, SETC and IMEA for her work including Choreography awards for productions of The Wizard of Oz, Cats, Cabaret and Beauty and the Beast; directing awards for Rent and Cats, and outstanding musical production awards for Cats, Cabaret, Rent and Forever Plaid. Melanie also works with museums and historical associations to create first-person training for docents and performers. She is having a blast working on Xanadu with this fabulous cast and crew. Thanks to her parents, husband Joshua, and family and friends for their support.


Mark Smith

Music Director
Mark is a graduate of Portsmouth West High School. He has toured as keyboardist with Landau Eugene Murphy, Jr. The tour has included many stops across the Tri-State area and has also made stops in Sacramento, CA, Ogden, Utah, and Detroit, Michigan to open for the legendary Temptations. He has also played for The Supremes and has opened shows for Jay Leno. In May of 2019, he was music director for and show featuring doo wop groups The Crystals, The Tokens, Danny and the Junior’s, and The Flamingo’s. He was invited to play with members of Lynyrd Skynyrd and Molly Hatchet. He performed in a fundraiser for the Brent Shapiro Foundation for Drug and Alcohol Abuse in Beverly Hills, CA. He toured several military bases in Germany the fall of 2012, to play for our Armed Forces to celebrate Veterans Day. Recently has played at the B. B. King Jazz Club in New York. He has been the music director/conductor for the premiere of a new musical at the Atlantic Center for the Arts in New Symrna Beach, Fla. Mark currently serves as Organist/Choirmaster at Trinity Episcopal Church in Huntington. He has also served as music director or keyboardist in many community theatre organizations, including: Huntington Outdoor Theatre, Portsmouth Little Theater, First Stage Theatre Co., 5th Ave Theatre Co., Musical Arts Guild, Ashland Community and Technical College, Paramount Players in Ashland, Huntington Area Regional Theater, Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp in Michigan, and Marshall University Theatre and Opera Departments. In March of 2012, he toured France with the Marshall University Chamber Choir which sang for a Sunday mass at the Cathedral of Notre Dame in Paris. In March of 2016, he again, joined the Chamber Choir on a performance tour in Spain. In March of 2020, Mark will play concerts in Vienna, Salzburg, Munich, and Prague. He also teaches private voice and piano.

Scott C Chapman is thrilled to join The Prizery family this season as Lighting Designer – (select professional credits) Lighting Design for Young Frankenstein, Steel Magnolias, Murder on the Orient Express, Guys & Dolls, Cinco Paul’s Stranger Sings (World Premiere), Tempest, Cabaret, Sweeney Todd, and Romeo & Juliet for Wolfbane Productions; Lighting the World Premiere (Cleveland) and NYC premiere (Town Hall Theater) of Kris Kringle The Musical, Scenic & Lighting Design for Eric Coble's My Barking Dog for Cleveland Public Theatre, and Suite Surrender for Blowing Rock Stage Company. In addition Scott has directed and designed numerous productions for and serves on the board for Waterworks Players Community Theatre in Farmville, VA. Scott is an Associate Professor of Theatre - Resident Scenic & Lighting Designer at Longwood University; BA in Theatre Design from SUNY Buffalo; MFA in Stage Design from Southern Methodist University. Emma Eisnaugle (English 2022, Stage Manager) Past shows include: Ride the Cyclone (SM); Stupid F#%king Bird (SM); A Serious Person (SM); The Patron Saint of Other Women (SM); Giving Voice (Co-Stage Manager); Heathers (ASM). Leanna Lake

Assistant Stage Manager
Leanna Lake is delighted to be making her debut with The Prizery. She is currently a senior at Troy University in Troy, Alabama, where she will graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Communication Arts and a Minor in Educational Studies. Some of her favorite credits include Newsies, Medea, A Greek Tragedy, and Director's Cut of Dance, all done at Troy University. She is a part of the Alpha Psi Omega National Theater Honor Society.
