Champaign Urbana Theatre Company announces auditions for
The 7th Annual Kathy Murphy Student Production of
Thoroughly Modern Millie
The Champaign Urbana Theatre Company will present the Broadway musical hit “Thoroughly Modern Millie” as our annual Kathy Murphy Student Production.
This show is open to young people from the ages of ten to eighteen years old, including High School Seniors from the class of 2012. There are over twenty named characters, a number of ensemble singers/actors, as well as Featured Dancers (preferably with Tap training) adding up to a cast of around fifty young people.
Auditions will be held at the CUTC offices on Friday, April 27th from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M., and Saturday, April 28th from 10:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., with Callbacks (if needed) on Sunday, April 29th. Students auditioning should prepare 16 to 32 bars of a Broadway-style song; this song CAN be from the show. Please wear comfortable clothing for the dance audition.Auditions are by appointment. Performances will run from June 14th through June 24th of 2012 at the Parkland College Theatre in Champaign, Illinois.
