URINETOWN - The School of Performing Arts

The School of Performing Arts announces auditions for its summer mainstage musical, Urinetown. Open to high school and college students, auditions will be held 7:30 to 10 pm, Thursday, May 18 at The School of Performing Arts’ Naperville studios, 1112 S. Washington St., Naperville. Call backs will be held 7 to 10 pm, Sunday, May 21. To schedule an audition, visit www.schoolofperformingarts.com/summer-theatre. Performers unavailable to audition in-person may submit an audition form and video by May 17 to cbramlett@schoolofperformingarts.com.

Winner of three Tony Awards, three Outer Critics Circle Awards, two Lucille Lortel Awards and two Obie Awards, Urinetown is a hilarious musical satire of the legal system, capitalism, social irresponsibility, populism, bureaucracy, corporate mismanagement, municipal politics and musical theatre itself. Hilariously funny and touchingly honest, Urinetown provides a fresh perspective on one of America’s greatest art forms.

Performances of The School of Performing Arts’ production of Urinetown will be held July 7, 8 and 9 at Meiley Swallow Hall Theatre at North Central College in Naperville, Ill. Rehearsals will begin May 25.
