America's premier funny man (Neil Simon) and the Tony Award-winning composer of A Chorus Line collaborated on this hit musical, a funny, romantic show about an established composer and his relationship with an aspiring young female lyricist, not unlike Carole Bayer Sager. Professionally, their relationship works beautifully-but ultimately leads to conflict on the home front. Of course, there's a happy ending.

CHARACTERS:

VERNON GERSCH - an established composer, age range: 30-40 vocal range: Baritone. If you can play the piano it's a plus but not necessary.

SONIA WALSK - a young lyricist. Age range: late 20's- 35. Vocal range: mezzo/soprano. Has just gone through a break up of a long term relationship, very eclectic

VOICES OF VERNON GERSCH - 3 men, these are three backup singers and dancers

VOICES OF SONIA WALSK - 3 women, also backup singers and dancers.

Nontraditional casting. If you're right for the part you will be considered.
