2014 SEASON AUDITONS ON FEBRUARY 1 & 2
SEEKING PERFORMERS FOR ‘GREASE,’ ‘MARY POPPINS,’ ‘SPAMALOT’
Bill Hanney’s Theatre By The Sea will hold local auditions on Saturday, February 1st and Sunday, February 2nd at the University of Rhode Island’s Fine Arts Center at 105 Upper College Rd, Kingston, RI. Parking and entrance at rear of building.
Under the Artistic Direction of Kevin P. Hill, the 2014 Summer Season at Bill Hanney’s Theatre By The Sea includes “Grease” (June 25-July 9) “Mary Poppins” (July 23-August 16) and “Spamalot” (August 20-September 7 - a one-week extension is possible).
The auditions will run from 10am-6pm both days, with an hour lunch break at 1pm. Please note that AEA members will be given priority for appointments. AEA members will be seen in 5-minute appointments. Anyone without an appointment will be seen on a first-come, first-served basis. Performers are asked to prepare two brief songs: one up-tempo and one ballad, 16 bars each. Bring sheet music in the correct key; an accompanist will be provided but will not transpose. Please bring a picture and resume, stapled back-to-back. Some may be asked to stay for a dance call, so bring appropriate dancewear and shoes (jazz, character and taps) and be properly warmed up. Callbacks will take place throughout the day.

All those Auditioning must be strong dancers. No video submissions will be accepted. No children will be seen at this time. Children's auditions for “Mary Poppins” will be at a later date.
