THE THREE PENNY OPERA - Middlebury Community Players

Middlebury Community Players Bring Mack the Knife to Town:

Auditions for The Threepenny Opera

Likely, you have heard someone’s cell phone go off to the tune of “Mack the Knife,” and gone about your day humming the tune in your head. But did you know that it is the opening number for the most successful and famous German musical of all times, Brecht and Weill’s The Threepenny Opera—and that it is only one of many gripping tunes in it?

This spring, local actors and singers can be part of a full production of the hilarious satire. Middlebury Community Players will hold auditions for the April production at Middlebury's Town Hall Theater on January 29 at 7:00 pm. There are at least seventeen roles to be cast, big and small, with or without singing, for actors of all ages, teens to seniors, and all experience levels.

Production and audition details are available at
www.middleburycommunityplayers.org, or

Perusal scripts are available at the Town Hall Theater Box Office, Monday-Saturday, noon to 5pm.
