Please come prepared to dance/move as a short dance call will be given to those called back.Run Dates of Show:January 11 - 21, 2024Performance Days are:Thursday, Friday & Saturday at 8:00pmSunday at 3:00pm Call time is one hour prior to curtain.A stipend of $100.00 will be paid for all actors cast in the show. OSA strives to produce theatre which celebrates and reflects a multitude of diversity within our community. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Info about the show and production: The Lightning Thief is based on the 2005 novel of the same name by Rick Riordan. The musical follows Percy Jackson, a teenage boy in high school who newly discovers that he is a demigod and goes on a quest to find Zeus' missing lightning bolt and prevent a war between the Greek Gods.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------First read-thru is Wednesday, Nov 1st at 7:30.Rehearsals start on Monday, November 6th. Rehearsals will be Monday thru Thursday 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm and Sundays 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm and additions when/if needed.CONFLICTS - ?Not at this time? is not an answer. We will only consider 2 conflicts for the run of the rehearsal process. Any more is at the discretion of the director. No conflicts are allowed for the mandatory tech week or performances. If you are auditioning for another show, please let us know.There might be roles that require hair changes for characters to complete the directors ?look? for the show. There might be a time when specific costume designs will be required for the character. Please let the theatre know if you have any costume or fabric choices in which you are not comfortable. The Director will be available to discuss these hair design/costuming decisions with you. The characters listed above are the most prominent within the script for their specific track.** OnStage Atlanta is open to casting each ?track? fluidly, meaning that we are open to going outside the traditional gender norms and would consider casting (for example) a female identifying actor in a male identifying role/track.For auditions, please prepare the following:* Bring two current head shots and resumes * Schedule an appointment * Fill out an audition form that will be provided at the door* Prepare a 32-bar cut of a song, of your choice, in the style of the show (contemporary rock, contemporary pop) or a 32-bar cut contemporary pop/rock song ?which showcases your range and acting ability. You may also be asked to vocalize with the Music Director following your song. There will be NO accompanist available; therefore, please bring a digital backing track/accompaniment track to be played for your song selection. A Bluetooth device/speaker will be on-hand and available for you to use. (You may use your phone or any other electronic device which can connect to a Bluetooth speaker to play your backing tack). Please make sure that the accompaniment is an instrumental track only (DO NOT bring a recording of your song with vocals). Please make sure the accompaniment track is cued up and ready to play prior to entering the audition room.
