AUDITIONS FOR THE FULL MONTY
Penobscot Theatre Company to hold auditions for upcoming production.
Penobscot Theatre Company will hold auditions for select roles in its upcoming production of The Full Monty on Saturday, February 18th from 10-1pm.
Auditions will be at the Bangor Opera House, 131 Main Street, Bangor, ME 04401.
The company is seeking to cast the following adult male roles:
-- Harold Nichols, an unemployed mill supervisor, 35-60 years old. Range: High baritone/tenor. Sings in 6+ numbers. F2-Bb4. It's sink or swim time and I'm drowning. It's every man for himself! Harold's doting on his wife extends to the realm of covering up his unemployment for six months while keeping her be-decked in upper-middle-class luxury, well past his means.
-- Reg Willoughby, union leader, 20-60 years old. Will double other roles. Sing/Dance.
-- Buddy Keno Walsh, handsome and experienced male stripper, 21-32 years old. His Chippendale-esque performance opens the show. Will double in other roles. Sing/Dance
Adult AEA and non-AEA actors, both new and returning to Penobscot Theatre Company are encouraged to attend. All roles are paid. Housing available as needed.
Those wishing to audition should prepare 32 bars of a song of their choosing, ideally in the vein of The Full Monty. Actors should bring a picture, resume and sheet music to their audition. An accompanist will be provided. Performers may also be asked to learn a short dance combination, and should dress appropriately.
New York-based Ethan Paulini is directing and choreographing this production ofThe Full Monty.
Rehearsals for the production will begin on May 16. Performances will run from June 15-July 9, 2017.
