SYMPHONY OF THE LAKES TO HOLD AUDITIONS
The Symphony of the Lakes will be holding auditions on Saturday, February 15th at the Warsaw Evangelical Presbyterian Church located at 210 S. High Street in Warsaw, Indiana. Interested candidates should go to the orchestra’s website at
www.symphonyofthelakes.com. There you will find all of the current vacancies and the requirements for the auditions. Currently, the orchestra is looking to fill several positions including Concertmaster, Principal 2nd Violin, Section Violin, Principal Viola, Section Viola, Section Cello, Section Bass, 3rdOboe/English Horn, Principal Trumpet, and 3rd Trumpet. All application materials need to be received by February 6th.
The Symphony of the Lakes which historically has been a community orchestra is now moving into the direction to become a professional orchestra whose home will continue to be in the Winona Lake and Warsaw area. During the summer of 2013, the orchestra was brought under the non-profit umbrella of The Wagon Wheel Theatre. The orchestra is gearing up to announce its first full season at their next concert which will be held on March 15, 2014 at 7:30 pm at the Performing Arts Center at Warsaw High School.
