Imagination Theater Announces Auditions for Shrek,The Musical
Imagination Theater announces upcoming auditions for Shrek The Musical directed by Peter Wolfe. Auditions are scheduled April 19 and 20 for those auditioning for Fiona, and April 22 and 23 (Callbacks) for all other roles. Important details regarding song requirements for particular roles are detailed on the theater website and blog. Auditioners for ensemble roles will be asked to sing a musical theater song from Shrek or another show. Auditioners should bring their accompanying music (with NO backing vocals) as an electronic file on a CD, a computer, Ipad, or cell phone. Acapella singing is not allowed and lyrics must be memorized.
Auditioners are encouraged to become familiar with the melody and lyrics to “Freak Flag.” Memorization of the lyrics is not necessary. Vocal auditions are in the morning, with dance and cold readings from the script in the afternoon of April 22. Wear loose-fitting, comfortable clothing and suitable dance shoes for all auditions. Bring water and snacks.
