Philly Productions, LLC announces auditions for the second run of "Philly." Music and lyrics by John Cal, book by Kevin Coughlin and John Cal. Directed by Rebecca Rizzio.
Philly tells the story of a young songwriter from NY who dreams of making it to the big time. He believes so strongly, that as a result, we believe. At a demo session, he meets a young woman with a killer voice. His songs and her voice are the perfect match. The dream begins there. After that, there’s tap, mobsters, spectacle dance numbers, impeccable harmonies, touching moments, humor, sadness, love interests, and of course a wise Nana who gives just the right advice.

Seeking lead female actors, ages 21-31. Two Altos and One Soprano. Must have strong vocals, distinctive stage presence, and versatile acting skills. Roles also require light dancing. Also seeking female character actors, ages 35-55.
Performance dates are October 2-18, 2015. Rehearsals begin July 11, 2015.

Actors should prepare a contemporary one-minute monologue and a song that demonstrates vocal tone, range, and style. Please bring sheet music; an accompanist will be provided. Actors should also be prepared to learn a short dance sequence if requested.
Auditions will be held in one-hour time slots at the Sabes JCC, 4330 S. Cedar Lake Rd, Minneapolis, MN 55416.
