KAISER PERMANENTE EDUCATIONAL THEATRE SEASON - Tour

ACTOR/HEALTH EDUCATOR

Kaiser Permanente’s Educational Theatre seeks actors 21+
who are interested in being trained as health educators. We
are looking for talented performers who care strongly about
issues facing youth. Actors will portray elementary through
high school characters for Southern California school-based
educational theatre tour. All ethnicities and types welcomed.
Actors must be able to move well, carry a tune and have
strong theatre training and/or experience. A Bachelor’s Degree
in Theatre is preferred. Bilingual Spanish and/or other
languages is a plus.

All programs tour Southern California schools Monday
through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work is
required. Two to six day road trips are scheduled throughout
the school year. Road trip travel expenses are paid.
Actors participate in all aspects of the production: driving
the truck, load in/out of the set, performance, sound check,
etc. Actors are also trained as health educators in order to
facilitate question-and-answer sessions, classroom workshops
and/or one-on-one interactions with students.

Full-time

• Non-Union, Non-Equity
• Starting salary $720/week
• Contract renewed annually
• Mileage reimbursement
