Surfside Players announces AUDITIONS for our main stage production:
FIVE WOMEN WEARING THE SAME DRESS

Auditions will be held July 21st and 22nd (Sunday & Monday, 7:00pm) in the Theatre Lobby. We need 5 women and 1 man (all between 20 and 30ish). Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. Wear comfortable clothing and shoes. No resume required. Performance dates are September 13 – 29, 2013. We hope to see you there!
During an ostentatious wedding reception at a Knoxville, Tennessee, estate, five reluctant, identically clad bridesmaids hide out in an upstairs bedroom, each with her own reason to avoid the proceedings.
CAST
MEREDITH MARLOWE: The bride's nosy, pot-smoking sister who is very sarcastic and much annoyed with the whole fiasco downstairs. Sporting an outwardly tough attitude, she has a lot of hurt and insecurity to hide.
GEORGEANNE DARBY: Tracy's ugly sidekick in middle school. Accepted the invite to be a bridesmaid even though her relationship with Tracy is strained because Tracy's boyfriend once knocked Georgeanne up.
TRISHA: One of Tracy's former friends with a supposed bad reputation. She's been with a lot of guys, but not any that measure up.
FRANCES: The very naive and religious cousin of the bride.
MINDY McCLURE: The groom's clumsy, outspoken lesbian sister.
TRIPP DAVENPORT: An usher who falls for Trisha. The only male in the show.
Surfside Playhouse is located in Cocoa Beach, Florida.
In Brevard County, take eastbound 520 or 528 to southbound A1A;
or take eastbound Pineda, Eau Gallie, or 192, to northbound A1A.
Drive into Cocoa Beach, and turn west on South Fifth Street.
The lobby is on the south side of the building, facing Ramp Road.
