CITIZENS AT THE CROSSROADS - Gettysburg Seminary Ridge Museum


The Gettysburg Seminary Ridge Museum is holding auditions for The Ridge Players and the debut season of its museum?theater program.

Citizens at the Crossroads explores the resilience of the people of Gettysburg as they rebuild their lives immediately after the destruction of the battle at Gettysburg. Citizens at the Crossroads, an interactive museum theatre program in which actors must both perform and engage the audience, will run seasonally March through November 2015-2017 for a variety of museum audiences, including school groups.

At this time, The Ridge Players are casting for the following:

• White woman to portray a 30?40 year?old historic figure
• Black male portray a 30?40 year?old historic figure
• Theater Coordinator, serves as audience guide, coordinates program, understudies and plays additional roles in future.

Auditions will be held on the afternoons of Tuesday February 17 and Saturday February 21 at the museum. Each actor should present a one- or two?minute piece that highlights their abilities and must have an 8"x10" headshot or photo with resume. Actors must be comfortable interacting with audiences. Opportunities may be available for additional responsibilities within the theater program.

Positions are part-time paid, non-union.
