All those who audition are expected to come having prepared the following:

1) Either one or two monologues no more than ninety seconds each. If performing two monologues, please make sure that they contrast in some way.

2) One verse and one chorus of a song, or sixteen bars of a song. Come prepared for the possibility that additional, contrasting songs may be requested.

3) Sheet music with full piano accompaniment for audition songs. An accompanist will be provided. No lead sheets or vocal only sheet music, no recorded accompaniment or a cappella singing. All music should be written in the key in which the auditioner plans to sing. No on-site transposing.

4) One copy of a headshot and resume.

Barter is looking for actors for The Barter Players, the Apprentice Company, various individual roles for a single show or repertory, and possible replacements and understudies for the 2014 season. For this audition, Barter would prefer to only see actors who are available for the 2014 season. At this time, Barter is not looking for any actors under the age of 18. Please check the website at a later date for any youth auditions.

The performance dates of Barter’s 2014 season and more information about each show can be found at
