A CHRISTMAS STORY, THE MUSICAL - Imagination Theater

A Christmas Story, the Musical Auditions May 14-15 at Imagination Theater

Imagination Theater is pleased to announce auditions for our 2016 holiday production of

A Christmas Story the Musical on May 14 and 15. In 1940’s Indiana, a bespectacled boy named Ralphie has a big imagination and one wish for Christmas, a Red Ryder Carbine Action BB Gun. A kooky leg lamp, outrageous pink pajamas, a cranky department store Santa, and a triple-dog-dare to lick a freezing flagpole are just a few of the obstacles that stand between Ralphie and his Christmas dream. Based on the classic 1983 movie, the musical captures holiday wonder with funny and heartfelt songs, show stopping dancing, delicious wit and a heart of pure gold. With direction by Brenda Lindley, vocal direction by Dale Wallerstein, and choreography by Paul Bott, this production will be fun for the entire family.

Auditions are May 14 from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.with call backs at 4:00 p.m. Auditioners are to be prepared to sing 16-32 bars of a song from a musical and an accompanist will be available or you may bring accompaniment on an electronic device. Auditioners will learn and perform a simple choreographed dance number that will be taught during the audition process and there will be improv and cold readings from the script.
